Abstract

Every year multiple investigations are developed associated with the administrative sciences and as in each science these are conditioned by the subjectivity incorporated by the scientific community to which the results are presented and depending on which this acquires more or less relevance. On this occasion, a group of reflections are presented regarding the materialization of some paradigms from which research in administrative sciences are valued and which, in the authors' criteria, deserve to be assumed with sufficient caution. Among the criteria that are evaluated are: the use of the terms efficiency and effectiveness, the achievement of the objectives to which the process management seeks to respond and its presumed superiority with respect to the functional approach, as well as the methods used to evaluate and guarantee the reliability and validity of measurements in administrative sciences. The results presented are the result of the application of theoretical methods related to the analysis of the aforementioned terms.
