Aplicación de la gestión de procesos en empresas del Ecuador

La gestión por proceso surge como respuesta a un enfoque notoriamente especializado y parcializado que afectan los niveles de eficiencia y eficacia de las organizaciones. La propuesta de este nuevo enfoque ya se acerca a casi medio siglo, lo que le ha permitido ganar en reconocimiento de su valor, y que se incorpore al menos en el discurso de la organización. Si bien este enfoque ha ganado en generalización y adepto, así como en el desarrollo de técnicas para su aplicación aun no se logra el propósito fundamental que motivó su propuesta. Las organizaciones que explícitamente declaran asumir este enfoque no han desaparecido su fragmentación funcional, no logran orientar el funcionamiento de la organización hacia la satisfacción de los clientes, no se reconoce a la operación subsiguiente como el cliente de la operación que lo antecede. Las herramientas que caracterizan a la gestión por proceso se diseñan y en ocasiones se aplican, pero no logran asegurar el logro del objetivo prometido. En esta investigación se caracterizó el nivel de reconocimiento y aplicación de los postulados de la gestión por procesos en organizaciones del Ecuador. De forma general se observó que si bien se reconocen estos postulados y se diseñan las herramientas que el enfoque propone aun no se logra lo que el enfoque promete
