Abstract

The present research entitled ‘‘Systematization of virtual teaching: modalities and characteristics ’’ aims to analyze the technical characteristics of a virtual classroom and how it adapts to virtual modalities of teaching-learning at a higher level. A deductive method was used through a documentary design that consisted of the analysis of specialized bibliography based on works carried out by different authors to contrast information based on experiences related to the proposed topic, as an instrument the document analysis sheet was used. Among the main conclusions, it can be highlighted that the characteristics of virtual learning environments are closely linked to the learning modalities (e-learning, b-learning, m-learning, u-learning) and must be adapted to the context and needs of the educational community. The implementation of Information and Communication Technologies in the teaching-learning processes have revolutionized education in terms of methodologies, however it is necessary to guarantee that all those involved are updated in their use to maximize learning.
