Restoration practices in education: a methodology to know

Abstract

The present research aims to analyze the development of restorative practices in education. The study was developed under a quantitative approach, with a descriptive type of research, and a non-experimental - cross-sectional design, a sample was taken of 225 teachers selected under a non-probabilistic sampling for convenience, the instrument used for the collection of information was a structured questionnaire. The results obtained showed that teachers' knowledge about restorative practices is superficial, and that the conflict resolution processes used are partially based on the principles and characteristics that govern them, finally it was identified that the approach used in conflict resolution it tends towards the punitive. Concluding that restorative practices are in a state of insipient development and that they are not consolidated in Ecuadorian education.
