Ecosystem management of sea grasses on sandy coastal beaches
Keywords:
delimitation, ecosystem management, sea grass, coastal sandy beachesAbstract
The protection of extensive sea grass ecosystems is essential because of their ecological importance. However, the relationship between sea grass and tourism is not always positive, because on the beaches the sea grass are removed to create bathing areas, which sometimes causes the decrease or the loss of these marine plant species. The objective of this research is to propose an ecosystem management process that diagnoses, delimits, executes and controls sea grass in the face of the threat of removal on Guardalavaca beach that helps protect them from tourist activity and at the same time satisfies it and contributes to the rest of the environmental system of the territory. To obtain this result, scientific research methods were used, such as theoretical and empirical ones, as well as professional software.
